Non-Executive Director

Join us a Non-Executive Director

We’re currently working closely with other local NHS Trusts in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to integrate all our community, mental health, and learning disability services, with our new organisation set to launch in 2024.

The new organisation, to be known as Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and committed individual to join our Board as a Non-Executive Director. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of healthcare in our region, as we launch a new, combined provider Foundation Trust. Our new Trust will deliver a wide range of NHS community, mental health, and learning disability services to nearly two million people and as a Non-Executive Director, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction, governance, and performance of our organisation, ensuring that we provide high-quality, sustainable healthcare services.

We are looking for a candidate with a range of specific skills and experience, to enhance our Board of Directors for this large and complex new organisation. We are particularly looking for someone who is connected with our local communities, has links to the voluntary sector, and has a good level of financial acumen (although no formal financial qualification is required this position). Additional areas of skills and experience that we are interested in includes accounting, legal, strategic marketing, digital and research and development, service user and carer engagement, sustainability, and public health. A deep commitment to the values of the NHS and to improving the wellbeing of our local communities is essential. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on healthcare services and have the skills and experience we are seeking, we would love to hear from you.
